Blend curve into one curve not 2?

cant find how to do this

i want to change the behavior of arc blend to create one curve instead of 2. Any adjustments i have to rebuild every blend curve wich takes a lot of time. Before it did not behave this way, is there a setting somewhere? There should be a way to set the prefered behaviour of this?

The whole idea of ArcBlend is that it creates 2 arcs of varying radius that will blend between any two line/curve ends, no matter if they are in the same plane and without trimming. And IIRC it has been this way since its introduction. Could it be, that you are mistaking ArcBlend for Blend, which will create a single curve, although not based on true arcs, but on a G2 (or G0, G1, G3 or G4) curve?

i dont know how i missed that, my previous custom ui had another similar looking icon for blend and i mixed them up, thanks for pointing me in the right direction!
