Beam Joint Agent

Hi,

I’m trying to create this structure, the primary beams are two underspanned beams spanning 5 meters. As to attach the girders they had to be seperated and are now displayed as elements 12 and 15, 13 and 14. Im trying to reconnect 12 to 15 and 13 to 14 with the beam joint agent but cant figure out a way in which the ropes and girders underspanning the primary beams are still active. Can someone assist in this?

Hi,
if you split beams into segments, they are automatically considered as rigidly connected. If you use the BeamJoint component, this actually releases the joints between elements.
