Hello when ever I open up the menu of one of the commands, i select something, but then want to go back, is there a button that I can press that does this? See below in the image I have selected center of inscribed pyramid command - I then select edge with its menu but then want to go back to the main part of this menu. Is there a button that can be pressed to do so, other than selecting something in that particular menu? I just get tired of having to go back and re select the command thats all.

There is currently no way to backup while entering command inputs, but if you cancel or complete a command, you can always use the spacebar, enter key, or right-click to issue the last command again. You can also right-click the commandline itself to see a list of recent commands and then click on the command name you want to use again.
