In Bryan James’s video re complex surface blends he models a watch body for the demonstration,
He begins with a cylinder,
To create the bosses onto which the band will attach he creates a freeform curve onto the side of the cyhlinder which is then revolved full circle and sides trimmed off to leave the bosses.
As he creates the full circle rotation his model shows isoparms. My model does not.
M isoparm display is on in the display panel, and in Rhino Options > General, Show surface isocurves, and Isocurve density is set to 1.
In order to get isocurves to show i have to >Edit and insert knots.
B.J. did not do this in his video tutorial. It appears that knot were inserted automatically as he created the freeform curve.
Can someone pleas let me know how to get knots and isocurves to generate automatically as the curve is created and revolved to create teh surface.
Hi Tom- It may be that Brian’s curve was made with an interior knot to begin with. If your surface shows no isocurves, boost the isocurve display in the object Properties. In any case you should see isocurves from a revolve by default, interior knot or no, if the density is 1. Can you please post the input curve and the surface you made?
