Attempting to make a solid for 3d print

Helix solid.3dm (2.2 MB)

Hi,

I’m trying to fill the void between this profiled helix and the special shaped poly surface for a 3d print. Any recommendations?

Thanks a bunch!

Can you extend the helix so the swept part starts below the outer surface and goes higher? Then trim the excess.

Do you still have the curves used to create the current surfaces?

i may be a bit dumb today, but the only polysurface appears to be the profiled helix itself, the other 2 parts are actually surfaces, one which is closing a gab between the profile and the one which appears to be something like a trimmed potato shaped surface surrounding all of it.

i assume that closing that up however need be, may involve opening the closed profiled helix to an open polysurface to be able to connect to it. either way maybe you could make a quick and dirty paint up of what you want.
