I have to do a project called space optimization for my Bionic Architecture course. In this course, we should inspire from nature and optimize an issue. My goal is expansion and growth of spaces with optimal dimensions.
I am looking for a pattern in nature that I can implement my goal with it in Grasshopper. So far, I have found the concept of growth and generation of fractals, Voronoi geometry and cell divisions, which actually I don’t know if they could help me or not and how and with what plugin should I proceed in order to get the possible answer in a short time.
I started to write the algorithm with the assumption that I have three spaces with variable length and width and a fixed area for each, and my question was how to place them next to each other by changing their length and width with a 1.2 corridor between them, to have the smallest area at final combination, but I could not advance my algorithm with the constraints I mentioned. And most importantly, it seems that there is not any bionic solution.
