I’m not a well versed C++ developer at this time, I have compiled opennurbs and the examples successfully. Then I found rhino3dm python, and thought I would give that a try. But what I would really like to see is a translation of the opennurbs example programs into rhino3dm python code. Is this something that might happen eventually? Most of the other examples I have found for rhino3dm are kind of geared to other software packages that I am also not familiar with. The opennurbs examples are pretty much standalone and self contained.
Hey, sorry for the late response. Did you find these samples?
These samples are pretty basic. In particular, I recommend looking at these two…
- getmeshes.py – reading a .3dm file and inspecting the contents
- spherelines.py – generating geometry and writing it to a .3dm file
