AlignedDimension, for me, does not seem to work in Rhino 8 as it did in Rhino7. In Rhino 8, AlignedDimension, which is now under the heading Drafting\OtherAnnotations, seems to enforce that the second input point be vertically above or below the first point. Thus, in Rhino8, I do not see how to use AlignedDimension for its intended purpose. Did I miss something about how it is to be used in Rhino8 as opposed to Rhino7, or is this an oversight? Yesterday, I needed to mark some dimensions quickly, and I had to revert back to Rhino7. I am using Version 8 SR8
(8.8.24170.13001, 2024-06-18) which seems to be the latest release.

I’m experiencing exactly the same thing, anything else except turning of ortho? It doesn’t change anything for me.
@Philip_Jakobsson1
you whant the “40.00” but you get the “12.79”
is this what your question is about ?
if yes - you will need to set a custom cplane.
and maybe use a macro for it.
if no - please sketch what you re after.
