Align, merge, or combine objects

Hi. I’m a newbie and have a question.
I’m trying to align almost same (about 95% same shape) objects which are imported on separate layers.
How do I align them without manually turning and moving?
Manually doing by seeing is also inaccurate.
I’d like to use snapping tool or something simillar one so that I can simply move and snap it on a dot , a line, or a surface.
Can someone let me know how to do it?
Please help! Thank you in advance

Hello - how easy this would be depends somewhat on the objects but Orient3Pt combined with object snaps would be the first thing to try.

Thank you so much. Your tip was really helpful. I tried it just ago, but It couldn’t align very well. I think it’s because one object which is a drown by a cad program has few polygons and the other one has a lot which is scanned by a 3d scanner. If you don’t mind, could you tell me if there’s any to align by surfaces?

Hi Steve - if you have meshes, the only sOSnap available is Vertex… no surfaces exist (from Rhino’s perspective)

Thank you so much! I’ll try it right now and let you know how it goes
