After upgrading my prefs are shot

I’d spent a lot of time setting up menus and keystroke shortcuts and now they’re all missing.
WTF??

How can I get these back?

There was a required V5 update to make the PLIST compatible with V6.
It helps but it’s still pretty fragile.
The PLIST for V7 is independent.
