Here is my personal opinion on the direction Rhino should take. Additive manufacturing.
Additive manufacturing (also known as 3D printing) is the future of manufacturing, but it’s also the present. We are doing it ourselves, and SolidWorks is taking a bigger role in it than Rhino is in our company. That’s sad to see.
So my feedback would be to focus on what is necessary to make additive manufacturers look to Rhino as the premier solution. By the time Rhino 7 comes out, CNC will be on the downturn, and AM will be the norm. Look at what’s already happening:
One day in the not too distant future, we will laugh at how we used to start out with a block of material and cut away until we had our desired shape.
