Hello everyone,
this is a simple question about terminology or something like this. Take the case:
one makes many definitions of Grasshopper components and each one saves it as a UserObjet/cluster/component. Then these UserObjects are shared with other people.
Would it be correct to say that it is a plugin, even if not written in code? Are take into consideration as a real extension? or since these tools can be made from Gh have a different category? If yes, what would be the proper term?
Thank you.
I think some existing plugins already are like this.
There is no official specification of what counts as a plugin, I suppose anything non-standard which adds functionality can be considered one.
GH doesn’t draw a distinction between plug-ins, add-ons, and extensions, and I frankly don’t see the point of doing that. Calling everything a plug-in is fine by me.
Thanks David, that’s what I thought.
But just in case,
does anyone have a different opinion?
or this is the general view or “academically” accepted from the world of software development?
