The edge selection issue is not just for Mac. It is very hard to select an edge on surface. I flat out thought it was a bug, and it was not possible to select it. It turns out it’s just that it’s so hard to select it.

Rhino 8 Ctrl+Shift click curve on surface not possible?

The whole rectangle is highlighted in your screenshot. That is not ctrl+shift click for sub-object click? Just clicking the whole curve works just fine, but ctrl+shift to click one single curve out of the rectangle that’s on the surface doesn’t work (at least for me).
