I just want to drop it into my simple little interior model, and the manufacturer doesn’t provide a model. Do people have apps to recommend? Any platform, iOS, Android, Windows, Mac.

If you have an iphone it has scanning software I think it’s free but not sure.
Unreal or Epic has Reality scan which is free and looks like it works nicely.
You could also photograph the knob and have an ai service generate a model you could use.
I forgot which service that is hopefully someone will chime in.

If you have an iPhone or iPad with LiDAR, you can use iRhino to scan an object.
There are also several free apps for iOS that let you do that and export as, e.g., OBJ to import into Rhino.
For creating a 3D model from images in Rhino on macOS, you could try the ObjectCaptureFromPhotos plug-in that you can download through the Package Manager.
