“Check for Updates” under Help (Same as Updates and Statistics under Options)
“Check now”
Screen pops up and said a new version is available.
Downloaded and installed the new version.
And the update frequency is set to “Service Release Candidate”?
At any rate, looking closer, I see that Brian mistakenly pushed 8.14.24311.06001 and 8.14.24311.06002 as release candidates on Wednesday but corrected that half an hour later. I’m not sure if that first release process was completed, but, if it did, I suppose that could explain why you got a 8.14 version…

I downloaded 8.13.24311.03001 but could not install it. Is there a way to install it without removing Rhino and starting completely over? What is mean by “Modify the installed features of Rhino in Control Panel”?

While we prefer to bisect the cause of regression on macOS because you can have any number of versions running next to each other, sometimes we need to bisect on Windows for issues that are Windows-only. In my experience of doing this, simply uninstalling Rhino and installing a different version has never caused the loss of settings.
Apart from that, what’s wrong with the 8.14 version you installed?

You were fast! We accidentally released an 8.14 build and it was out for about 30 minutes before we deleted all the traces of it. We’ll be releasing 8.14 RC for real next Tuesday.
