Wish: Proper order of the annotations

It always bugs me that the annotations are arranged in a chaotic fashion based on their initial number rather than their actual value. For example, my custom dimensions named 5 mm, 10 mm, 20 mm, 50 mm are arranged as 10 mm, 20 mm, 5 mm, 50 mm. This is counter-intuitive, because the smallest and the largest ones are sitting next to each other. The 5 mm annotation must be placed as number one, followed by 10 mm, 20 mm and 50 mm.

I can’t find any way to manually arrange the annotation styles in a custom order… Maybe adding that ability via some tiny arrows (similar to how the layers could be moved up and down) will fix the issue?

Hi @Rhino_Bulgaria
I’ve made it a habit using triple (or quadruple or whatever is needed) digits when doing things like file names, so instead of 5 it’s 005, and 50 is 050. Maybe that could work? I know it’s not a solution, but a hack, bit still…

Yeah, sometimes I also do this with naming of objects in the scene, however, it would confuse me to use annotations such like 005 and 050. I think that it’s more appropriate if Rhino itself could offer a native way to arrange the annotations based on their actual value, or even allow custom ordering.

I would also see this as a very nice feature.
