@eobet thanks for your feedback.
Display scaling is a display mode property so in that sense this tool is a bit of a hack.
I might be able to detect a display mode change, I’ll look into that. RH-94006 StretchDisplay: Display mode change
I’m surprised that a Cplane change affects stretch display. I’ll try to reproduce.
regarding this statement: are you saying that a change of a certain Cplane changes a view? And what does that mean? Does it change the view orientation, name, something else?
It would be most helpful if you can send a file with named Cplanes that show this behavior, as I couldn’t reproduce the issue you are describing.
I used the uploader because even though I purged everything from the file it ended up being 30mb for some reason I couldn’t figure out.
Anyway, if you toggle different named Cplanes in the WIP in that file, you’ll notice that eventually when you switch to the TOP layer, the view will also change to a top view. And to get out of that, I need to set the view back to perspective, and then switch back to parallel again (and sometimes somewhere in that dance, StretchDisplay occasionally gives up).
I’ve logged this a while back, I added this thread. But since stretchDisplay is a test command, I don’t think this is going to be fixed before 9 ships RH-90836 Gumball is stretched when stretching the display
