Wish: layers off in MULTIPLE details

I know thee has been lots of activity on this in the past… but still wanting/needing it.
We need to be able to select multiple details in layouts (and across multiple layouts) and turn layers off/on in all of those details quickly and efficiently.

As mentioned by others ad nauseum, this is one of THE MOST tedious aspects of organizing our drawing/documentation sets in Rhino, to the point that producing a shop drawing for parts or a 20 pg sculpture proposal become extremely painful and I don’t want to do it because I had the ‘great idea’ of using layers to organize all of my parts in big assemblies.

As a reminder/refresher:
I want to select a set of details,

and then click on the lightbulb in the ‘layout on’ (or detail on if we could make multiple details active for editing in model space) and turn off layers in those details.

Doing this across multiple layouts would of course be the cherry on top.

Hi @carvecream,

You can do this in Rhino 8.

With the layout active, select the details (border) that you want to modify.

Then right-click on the layer’s layout on icon and select “Layer off in selected details only”…

Hope this helps.
