the use of a selection color is quite problematic:
eg. yellow ist not an option in layout space, where you have a bright paper in the background.
also yellow limits the usability of other layer colors with a similar hue.
In drafting, I need to work with standards that require yellow layers. I can modify it in model space but it is confusing…
I suggest two options:
1
the ability to draw selected objects with thicker lines/edges
2
a CAD type of selection that uses dashed lines which draw in front of all other curves/edges. meaning dashed is not, dash+empty but dash+backgroundcolor, so that underlying lines/edges are not filling the spaces between the dashes.
