Wish for RH7 etc.. Saved / Named Gumball Location

doing alot of human interface stuff… i have the standard dummy or doll you find everywhere with the joints modeled… suited well enough for this stuff. .would be nice and make things a bit easier if gumball locations could be saved… such that i can save gumballs at each joint… allowing me to quickly pose the joints as i move through the limbs of the dummy… im not a programmer by any means… but im thinking it come in different fashions… one being much like the saved CPlanes Tab… or just all my save gumballs showing at the joints… with options to show / hide/ delete/ activate etc… im thinking it could be useful in many ways… even in mechanical systems etc…

That’s probably something for Bongo or GH

Yes… i have bongo … and GH… but was just kind of thinking on the lines of quick manipulation… not necessarily for a full on animated part… and not necessarily needing constraints at each location… as the gumball saved location would do that… i could just call up that gumball location make the tweak and move on… pose the doll… with gumballs saved at all the joints of interest… i could just move the doll around with such ease…etc… but yeah… i get what you are saying… … i really need to get into GH and bongo… as they are powerful tools…

Yeah, I’m no expert but I think a good GH definition would be a great option for this. You can use number sliders for degrees of movement for each extremity, head, neck, torso, waist, etc

guess its time to crack the knuckles… and get it sorted…

but still hoping for a saved/ named gumball location in the future…

That’s the best way to learn! Good luck with that!

Well… im digging in… coming along so far…

as i get further into it… i will be sure to post… im sure some GH pro can improve it… and repost…

HMMM… quite chuffed with meself so far… maybe me brain is getting it…

Nice work! That’s exactly what happened to me. I’m still a newbie in GH but learned a lot when my boss asked me to do something I had no idea how to do it, I just said yes and ended up with something good in 3 or 4 days

awesome… all that remains now is to duplicate my effort for the left half of the doll… and done… will post…
