Wish: 1) Scale but restrain object geometry / 2) Transform each

Not sure whether there is a command for this.

I would like to change the distance of all 3 items, actually same as 1D scale command.

But all geometry should not be scaled only the distance between each item.
Hope you understand.

Now I would scale 1D and then take the original object I dragged besides and copy it into each instance then deleting all 2 1D-scaled items.

  1. I would love to have an option to take multiple same objects distributed over my scene and select them and transform one object but apply the (box modelling, 1D, 2D, 3D scale) to every instance. Like Transform each in Illustrator.

Thank you

@wim 1D would work perfectly thanks!!!

  1. the updated option “Transform Each” in the top post of this thread, is there also an option in Rhino?

Thank you very much

Didn’t know that command! Thanks!
Also the command Distribute or if your objects are blocks, you could turn on control points and scale those.

Hannes - the Serengeti category is for new features that are in WIP versions, not for questions are current features or wish list items.

For the simple transforms (move, scale, rotate) there’s BoxEdit, where you can turn on “Transform objects individually”. If you need to actually change the geometry there’s either blocks or history.

Thanks @Normand for clarifying. Highly appreciated!

@wim where is the destination to post these?

@wim ScalePositions works on single objects only, can’t use groups, is this a feature request? Thanks

That seems to work fine here, so I’ll need an example and detailed steps.
