I’m curious if many people have experience using Windows 365 Cloud PC (Virtual PC system) for their day to day work? Has anyone used Stable Diffusion, Rhino 8, Grasshopper, Revit on it?
I can’t seem to find much about the GPUs dedicated to the virtual machine and wondering if it’s it a better route than a custom PC build with good GPUs.
what i can confirm is that you could use a cloud machine to host a stable diffusion model and others.
for GPU tasks - such as running AI models - they can be significantly cheaper than building your own machine - but that depends on your use scenarios. You’ll find plenty of tutorials on youtube, but they are generally not for windows 365.
as for running windows desktop apps in the cloud, i’m not entirely sure, since i never used cloud computing like that nor do i know anyone who has.
Yeah, I am just surprised that no one has done a performance review when it comes to this kind of stuff. Windows 365 has been around for a few years now, yet I don’t know anyone who’s used it.
They do have a free month trial, so maybe I’ll test it out for myself.
