Why Some Curves Create PlanarSrf and Some Do Not?

Hey there,

I have a problem (picture attached). I use PlanarSrf command to create planar surfaces but with this particular case for some reason with situation captioned as 2 PlanarSrf detects inner boundaries and with sutuation 1 it does not. What could be the problem? I checked and pretty sure every curve is planar and closed.

UPD: I discovered that the issue might be that with the situation 1 the outer boundary is curve and the inner is polyline. Apparently you can’t create PlanarSrf that way. Is there workaround for this problem?

Thank you in advance.

The curve at 1 is either not planar, not closed or both. Can you send the file?

maybe selfintersecting, just post the geometry no more guesses needed?

Sorry, forgot to attache the file. And I also discovered that PlanarSrf command will work if I exclude some inner boundaries out of selection (shown on pictures).

Thank you in advance.

thanks for the file. At tolerance 0.1 the result is as expected.

It really does work that way. Thank you so much.
