When creating subd from mesh, it appears as a wireframe, not with surfaces?

When I try to create subd form mesh it looks like that and I cannot manage surfaces only edges are working ![image

Hello - please post an example file, and please also run SystemInfo in Rhino and copy/paste the results here.
