What setting controls V8 line thickness?

Hi,
coming from V5, I was used to using 0.3 and Print Preview to get a slightly thicker line, and 0.5 a bit thicker, visually noticeably thicker, with 1.2 well and truly thick enough to differentiate.

In V8 I have got as far as the max normally offered of 2.0 and its more like 0.5.

zoom in and its 0.1inch thick.

what does the number refer to ?

where is the setting to make it as V5 ?

also I normally get a shock as its HUGE, compared to V5.and I want to reduce it.

so whats going on ?

I would wish for the units to be the units of the document.
so if using mm, 0.5 would be 0.5mm.
2 obviously is not 2inch., being 0.1inch I struggle to understand those numbers at all.

Hi Steve,

Line weight control is much different in Rhino 8 than 5.

You can think of it in 3 modifier buckets; Global, Object and View.

If i understand correctly, you will want to duplicate the LineType and change the Width Units, using model units if you want those widths fixed in a layout (vs the same regardless of zoom factor)
