What method add button to standard toolbar?

Nothing on youtube on adding button to the STANDARD tab and McNeel page mega confusing.

where do I go to add a custom button to the STANDARD toolbar for V5 ?.
what are the steps to get the new button box to appear.
also with a button how does one reveal the workings of it, look at its code etc ?

I have done it in the past but cant remember how I did it.

and what coding (the exact code from start to finish)
to do this
divide command 30
select last created objects
group them, run circle through points
delete the points.

for divide I have split no mark ends yes group output no, length as it comes I dont alter that.
I have 30 points along a line, with one at either end so 28 inbetween the ends !

and where does that go and are there other things I have to type in to the editor box ?

and I need another button but for line this time not circle.

completely useless at coding so please make sure its not missing anything I am expected to put in myself !

so if I manage to read and understand all that, and my coding brain is useless,
so will it manage to code

divide command 30
select last created objects
group them, run circle through points
delete the points.

THE BIG ASK…STILL… just how do I get a button thing made to place that into ?

Just right click into a toolbar and click new button.
