Malware from a pirate copy of rhino/plugin?
Perhaps you like to apologize for such an unfounded assumption…
constructive suggestions are welcome, but no smearing please.
No offense intended. But this implies malware
Anyway, try loading rhino in safe mode
@Akash
In Rhino 8 > Settings > Plug-ins, do you have any 3rd party added tools?
If so, try disabling them, Quit Rhino and restart see if it goes away.
Another place to look is in Settings > Toolbars.
My guess is it’s not part of “default”.
Hi @John_Brock
Everything was fine until last SRC. no new toolbars or plugins.
The only thing that comes to mind [apart from it being a bug in the latest SRC… is that I had a strange issue with the Selection filters doubling up [it was an issue that stayed since the early WIP days.
Now some days ago, @Gijs helped me solving it by doing a touchup to my Window Layout.
maybe it is related to this.
actually it implies the toolbar/menu system on mac is hardly working and someone has been poking it to see if they can get it to do anything
could be me for all I know
I don’t think there’s safe mode in Mac rhino.
@Akash yes that’s me. I named it appropriately though
Sorry for the inconvenience caused.
In toolbars do you see a similarity named toolbar?
You can close that one
If not, go to Menus and you will probably find it there.
I think you need to start you mac in safemode and then run rhino
thanks @Gijs .
yes I found it…
The v8custom can also be deleted.
These are all left overs of tests. I was not aware I was exporting those with the rhw file.
how do I delete those…?
not readily seeing a way to do that
Select it in the dropdown, then choose File > close
Thanks great.
This also seems to sort the other issue I reported of an empty file using 3.2GB… now it is down to normal 1.7gb
1.7gb for an empty file? That’s not normal
, it’s more like 1.34 now
