The Query Model Objects component seems to recalculate whenever geometry in Rhino is modified. In the video below the lag is demonstrated when hiding / showing one simple Rhino box geometry in wireframe mode which is unrelated to anything happening in Grasshopper. Adding or deleting geometry also results in the same lag.
