So Split with Breps is clearly detecting 2 intersections and splitting curve correctly:
But Trim with Regions is not trimming the portion of the curve that goes inwards, even after using a collapsed version of the polyline region.

Not at my computer, but if I recall correctly and understand your image, what is left of the line is all within the region bounded by the polyline - the trim removes what is outside it.
Thanks! Yes I could use the other output, outside. Too bad it also trims the portion on the region… which is neither inside nor outside…
