Wall/Slab join VA3

Hi,

Is it possible to manually update, or disable slab/join creation wich is super heavy to compute and really annoying during the drawing process (but very nice feature when it comes to 2D rep)

Removing interference dont seems to work

Hi @flavien.bessiere Right now it is not possible to break the automtatic intersections between walls and slabs. We are aware that this intersection slows down the modeling process, but we are currently working in different solutions to improve that.

Is there really no solution for this yet? This makes schematic modeling such a pain.

Hi @Rói_Heinason the intersections calculation between walls and slabs has improved considerably in the recent updates, after the last post in this Topic. And we are working on new improvements (new internal boolean methods) to make this work better. Which VisualARQ version are you using? if you can share a sample file that runs slow with the last update, we will analyze it and see if the last improvements are noticeable in your model.

Sure I can send a model. But I often have cases when sketches where the joins make the geometry more complicated that it needs to be for what I’m doing. I wish this was just a simple slab and the walls were inside it without joining together and making something more complicated:

@Rói_Heinason all right, we plan to add an option to deactivate automatic intersections between slabs and walls. However we are interested to solve any intersection issue that affects the performance, so if you can share a sample case it will be very helpful!

@Rói_Heinason @flavien.bessiere We have added important improvements in the way walls and slabs intersect (with new boolean operation methods), and you should notice a big performance improvement already in the 3.8 RC1 version we have released this week. You can find it here: VisualARQ 3 - Version 3.8 RC1 released
