Struggling to get voronoy patterns only on the sphere surface, as in a thickened voronoy net shell sphere, any tips on executing that ?

I edited @HS_Kim 's definition a little bit.
And if you want a less conventional section than the circle !
Nautilus (paid version) could help you. Evaluation licence are available. But here the Voronoi has some too short segments.
