VisualARQ: Boolean failed between wall (...) and slab (...)

Hello,

I have tried to find documentation on this but couldn’t.

When I “vaupdate” my model to make sure changes are not creating issues, it’s really nice that VA already tells us if there is an error in the model, but it doesn’t particularly say how to solve it…

Is there a way/tool to at least find the offending geometry that’s creating the error so that it can be manually fixed?
(perhaps a highlight of the geometry or a further command option like “show” etc)

Thank you as always!
Lourenço

Hi Lourenço,

Thank you for your message.

To identify and try to fix the problem, use the Rhino command SelID. When VisualARQ reports an error, it provides an object ID for each problematic element (wall-6e7569…).

By running SelID and entering that ID, Rhino will select the exact object causing the error—such as a wall or slab,as in your case. This allows you to locate and manually try to fix the geometry.

If you cannot resolve the issue this way, please contact our technical support and share the file where the error appears, so we can help you better.

Best regards,
Melissa

I have this problem all the time with this particular model I’m working on. Usually followed by a Rhino Freeze. I’ve tried the SelID with the GUIDs shown in the error and most of the time nothing is found with the GUID identified. That is if Rhino doesn’t crash immediately.

Hi @Byram_Sewell could you send your model to visualarq@asuni.com so we can take a look?
Which Rhino and VisualARQ versions do you have?
