I opened Rhino 8, 8.25.25294.11001, possibly for the first time since installing the new version.
Created a simple degree 3 single span surface.
The render mesh was extremely coarse and faceted.
Went to Options > Mesh and the render mesh setting was “Smooth and slower”. Clicked on okay and the render mesh refined and the display was smooth.
I cannot reproduce this.
