I mostly work with isocurves turned off. In V8, the default in shaded display modes is not to show isocurves for planar surfaces:
This is OK for me generally. I stumbled on one exception today - during the creation of a Sweep2 surface that is (will be) planar, composed of all coplanar rails and profiles. If one is in shaded mode while in the command, no isocurves are shown:
One has to switch Wireframe in order to see them:
This is important to seeing how the surface flows, and of course to be able to add slashes to readjust.
V7, not having the option of isocurves being turned off by default for planar surfaces, does not have this problem in Shaded mode, even if the general setting is set to not show isocurves for new surface objects.
I would request that in V8, isocurves be shown during the surface creation (while in the command), no matter what the setting is in the current display mode.
