Hi,
I wonder if there are any plans to incorporate V-ray on Rhino 8?
plans - yes
means - none
I understand!
But you think there will be a workaround, and maybe a solution?
no workaround is possible, unless Parallels, which is not supported by McNeel
the final solution is a C++ Mac SDK, which is yet to be made available by McNeel
Yeh, I’m currently using Parallels, but would prefer just using iOS interface. So the hold up is McNeel?
Yes, we (mcneel) are the hold up. We do not currently have a c++ sdk for Mac and that is what vray needs.
Okey, thanks for the answer!
I guess that’s won’t happen anytime soon either?
That’s correct.

I’m following-up here and kindly asking if/when Vray will be ready for Rhino8 on iOS…?
it is save to say that having any hopes at all will just delay your actual goals, use Bella if you need a real good render app for Rhino for Mac, the price for it was recently reduced giving you an insane value (from former maxwell developers). the built in cycles is also pretty good if you dont need any dispersion caustics or render flags
The request was for iOS. iRhino doesn’t have any plug-in architecture to allow a product like V-Ray to be added to it.
i doubt that since there basically is no rhino 8 for ios either i assume the follow up is in line with the other requests
iRhino is most of Rhino built for iOS.
that is quite exaggerated tbh… also it is still being called irhino not rhino8, so i still believe that the request was meant for mac os and is a simple mix up as i have seen it happen sometimes
