Are you aware that your latest update process today(?) results in an update error (please try later). For both Mac Rhino 8 and 9 WIP.
Hi Matt -
That seems to work fine - here and now, at least.
-wim
Lets get some additional information.
Please run SystemInfo in the Rhino command line and post the result.
Are automatic updates enabled?
When does this error occur? it appears to be when you start Rhino.

Auto updates… yes, maybe?. Rhino tells me there is an update available when it starts up, but I have to manually start the update.
Error happens after I manually start the update, just after it downloads your update file, but before the install step (I think).
This has never happened before. The only recent change I can come up with is I just, a day or 2 ago, installed a new cable modem from my ISP… so my IP address changed. That IP change should not matter, but maybe something in the equipment swap.
Do you have any issues viewing these 3 pages?

Responses from 3 websites.
Not sure if I need to do something with the 2nd one regarding opening port 443, or exactly how to do that.

So, your last email triggered a thought. I have a program called LuLu running. Kind of a firewall in reverse to block a small list of programs - but not Rhino - from uploading data. When I completely disabled LuLu, Rhino then updates fine.
Thing is, I have had LuLu installed for a long time and never had a problem until yesterday. So, I have 4 Mcneel programs (V7, V8, WIP, and something called “RhinoMonitor”) that LuLu is explicitly instructed to grant “any address/any port access” privileges. So, Rhino should be able to access any port, either direction, unless something has changed in the last week in how this all works. Are there other Mcneel programs I somehow need to add to that list?
Attached is a display of active network connections when starting Rhino with LuLu enabled, if this is of any use. Port 443 looks to be accessible, if I read this file right.

But, maybe this is too complicated to figure out.
