Unlinking handle curves handles

I was playing the Bezier game today and noticed that In illustration programs often you can hold alt to unlink the handles of a handle curve, allowing you to create a kink. I’ve noticed in Rhino it is a bit different. There doesn’t seem to be a way to unlink the handles but you can press alt to insert a kink into the curve. I’m wondering what the difference is here…

Different interface for sure, use _InsertKink to insert knots with “unlinked handles”.
