Unable to Match Surface

I am trying to blend the left surface to the one immediately to the right. The left surface seems to have a split edge, the right surface is merged. Because of the seeming split edge on the left surface I am not able to perform blend surface. When I try to merge the broken ‘S’ curve with ‘merge edge’ tool it says the edge is already merged… any thoughts. Thank You

I do not see a location to use BlendSrf with your geometry as it exists.

The apparent gaps are due to the render mesh setting being too coarse. Options > Document Properties > Mesh is set to “Jagged and faster”. Change the setting to “Smooth and slower” will make the apparent gaps much smaller or disappear.

BlendSrf creates a new surface to fill in a gap between the edges of two surfaces.

MatchSrf adjusts one or both edges of adjacent surfaces so that there is the desired continuity between the surfaces.

If your geometry still needs improvement after changing the mesh setting you could use MatchSrf to improve continuity between the existing surfaces.

Oh geez, I’m sorry I meant to say Match Surface. I am attempting to create G2 surface continuity between the left and right surface. When I try to select the left surface edge with the MatchSrf tool the ‘S’ shaped edge is broken into two parts.

Hi Justin - Use the ChainEdges option in MatchSrf to select more than one target edge. Make sure to ‘Match by closest point’ here and ‘Preserve isocurve direction’

Worked great, thank you!
