Hi everyone,
I’m fairly new to Grasshopper and plugins such as Karamba3D and Kangaroo2, and I’m currently trying to analyse a truss structure for a building project.
The structure consists of multiple planes, each with its own truss system, which are connected together to form the overall structure. There are also some (structural) walls inside the shell like structure. I have experimented with TriRemesh to generate a truss-like system, and while I have had some success, the resulting structure is not ideal and does not fully match my design intent.
I have looked at several example definitions and tutorials online, but I have not yet found an approach that works well for this type of complex geometry.
My main goal is not only to model the truss system, but also to evaluate its structural behaviour and determine whether the overall structure is stable under load. I would like to understand how to set up the analysis correctly in Karamba3D and identify potential instabilities or weak points in the design.
Does anyone know of a good workflow for analysing this kind of truss structure in Karamba3D? Alternatively, does anyone have an example Grasshopper definition or script that could serve as a starting point?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
If you need anymore files or information just ask!
Thanks! (:
