TriRemesh BUG is back with a vengeance - R8 SR28 (8.28.26041)

Looks like this bug is back with a vengeance. The previous solutions no longer work at my end (connecting brep and brep mesh between extrusion and TriRemesh component. Changing the rectangle base plane location (X, Y or Z) affects the resulting mesh.

Hi Kossatz,

I opened up your file in Rhino 7, and it appears to be working the same as Rhino 8 from what I can tell. Can you provide more information about when this worked for you or what’s going on? Thanks.

Hi Japhy,

Thanks for the fast reply. I attached another test file to better explain the problem.

The main issue is the mesh topology “collapsing” that seems to be related to the extrusion component + lower thicknesses. I don´t know if this is by design or not, but should the mesh topology change when you set a different base plane location (X,Y or Z)?

Maybe Daniel Piker can throw some insights?

Thanks for the file. I’m not sure yet what’s going on here, but this is a useful test for figuring it out.

Hi Daniel,
