TRIM selection question - change selection method from rectangle to line?

So, I’m trying to trim a bunch of lines within a narrow area at an angle and I wish I could just draw a line through all the lines I’d like to trim rather than have to select each line or use the selection rectangle. Being set an an angle makes the rectangle selection method not much more efficient than selecting the individual lines. Is there a way to change the selection method from drawing a rectangle over or through the lines I’d like to trim to drawing a line through the lines I’d like to trim? Or is there a way to trim all lines within a specified region?

I asked this elsewhere and someone suggested CurveBoolean, which I don’t think is what I’m after. I’m not trying to create a new line (or curve/shape) I just want to be able to quickly draw a selection line through the lines I want to trim. Example below.

You can try SelFence or SelBrush with a small diameter.

Or the _Lasso command with the Crossing option. As usual, Rhino offers more than one way to do something.

Thank you both for these high quality suggestions. I found the SelFence/SelBrush method to be particularly effective in the scenario where my cutting objects are curved.

What I would really like now is if those selection methods were options that I could choose from when running the Trim command, that would be really nice.

Thanks again.

Yes you can run them inside the trim command. Run Trim, select your cutters, Enter, type SelBrush or SelFence (or use an alias or button), then brush over your objects to trim.
