Trim error on Rhino Version 7 SR9 (7.9.21201.5001, 2021-07-20)

Hi guys,

Trim command has some errors i think i have seen some versions ago… Using a surface as a trim boundary object doesn’t trim other surfaces… in none of the existing views.
If I use the edge that produced the triming surface by extrusion, and using the top view, if i select the same surfaces to be trimmed (as the first try) I can now cut those surfaces…

your yellow surface has an internal open edge.

fix it with matchsrf and it trims as expected.

1st rule of failed trims with surfaces… check for naked edges.
2nd rule of failed trims with surfaces, make sure that the objects completely intersect. (can use the intersect command to generate a curve, then examin curve for breaks or failure to enclose an area. )
