Trim away many holes in polysurface?

I have a pattern with several hundred holes that I wish to trim away from a polysurface.

Now, the only way I know is to click on individual holes, but that’s simply not feasible. How do I click on the large surface part and tell Rhino that’s the one I want to keep instead of trim away?

A couple options:

-Boolean all the ‘holes’ together into one ‘cutter’ shape

-Use Split instead of Trim, deselect the surface you want to keep from the output, delete what’s left (probably easiest.)
