Tricky mesh smoothing

Hello, I am having difficulties trying to create a smooth mesh. I created a subD shape, which I then converted to NURBS. To the NURBS I applied a pattern of circular patches, then converted back to a mesh. After checking my mesh with FlatShade I discovered some really messy geometry. Is there a straightforward way to improve my mesh in preparation for a high quality resin print?

You might try modifying the Mesh Export Options. You can play with the values to get smaller triangles

this seems to generate a pretty good mesh for that shape:

i very recently found that step is becoming a thing for slicers these days, that was for filament printers though i am not sure how its progressing for resin printers currently.

Gijs settings produce a comparable result with fewer triangles. It should be noted that adding more triangles does not necessarily make the result better. If a lot of the edges that result are smaller than the resolution of the printer, there is no benefit. So its best to set the minimum edge length to roughly the resolution of your printer and then adjust the other settings to your preference.

you can also get a reasonably good resolution using these settings, the result will be similar dense but more uniform.
