Hi,
I am writing in the hope that somebody have the solution for this problem I face. I would like to calculate the tributary area of a beam in a floor plate. This is quite important for me to be able to do this as it will help me to calculate the load at that area and design the beam. Any body could potentially direct me to the right direction? I have included a photo that explain what I mean by tributary area of a beam/line. Please advice.
Hi.
This could be one possible approach to your problem, but not sure this works for your case.
BTW, if your slabs always have the same X:Y ratio like your reference image, it will work as expected I hope…
Hi Kim, Many thanks- I will try to use of your algorithm and see how I go. I will come back to you later. Many thanks again.
