We will plan to transition to Rhino 7 from Rhino 6. We currently have a Zoo for our Rhino 6 licenses. What is the best way to transition users to the new version over a period of time so users could use 6 and 7? Can we have a Rhino 6 and Rhino 7 Zoo running at the same time? If so, will be both have to use port 80?
You will have Rhino 6 and Rhino 7 in the same Zoo. You do need to upgrade your current Zoo 6 to Zoo 7 in order to be able to run V7. Then add your V7 upgrades and validate, each upgrade gets linked with an existing V6 license. You have the same number of licenses at the end, but your users can use either V6 or V7.
