Toucan Library Missing

In the latest Wenatchee 5 Build 2013-10-28 the Toucan Library is not appearing in the Toucan Materials Menu while my Personal Library does still appear. In the previous Build 2013-10-23 all were working properly.

I see this as well- thanks.

I see this, too, but only when running Mavericks. The exact same 2013-10-28 build shows the built in materials correctly when running under 10.7 or 10.8.

OS X Mavericks is causing numerous problems, and not just for Rhino.

Yep, 10.9 here…

Thanks for the confirmations. When I first noticed this issue I reloaded the previous Build 2013-10-23 to check and that was working fine. I was running Mavericks both times.

I’ve created a temporary fix for myself to have the Toucan Library available in the Build 2013-10-28. I reloaded the previous Build 2013-10-23, then moved each Toucan material to my Personal Library. Upon reloading Build 2013-10-28, all of the materials are now available.

The Toucan Library materials are stored inside the Rhinoceros application. It appears that OS X Mavericks will no longer let Rhino read files that are inside its own application ?!?

Sigh.

We’ll need to figure out another way to include some materials with the application. In the meantime, tomrendo has a decent workaround.

Hello
I’m new to Rhino for Mac
I’ve just downloaded it for Mavericks and it shows no materials at all.
Did you find a way to get Toucan Basic Set of Materials ?
Thanks,
K.
