Toolbars in the WIP - terminology and more

Toolbars terminology has changed vs V7, and I’m trying to figure out what’s what.

Under ‘linked toolbars’, what does ‘gear-v’ mean and why isn’t there a tooltip? Oh, I see it’s a drop-down menu, but the caret looks like the letter v.

Under that drop-down, what does ‘link to file’ mean? That wording leaves me confused. Maybe ‘link file’ instead?

Are they ‘libraries’ or ‘files’? If I run ‘toolbar’ then the top drop-down says ‘libraries’, but if I open the settings panel and go to toolbars, I can ‘link’ a ‘file’.

On a more practical and immediate note: How can I copy a toolbar from one RUI file to another?

You can’t in the WIP. I have been doing a lot of toolbar mods like this in R7 and propagating changes to the v8 copy of the toolbar with WinMerge. Because v8 is not saving to the v8 copy of the RUI, it’s easy to use WinMerge to move things over. However, I installed the update yesterday, and it lost all of the v8 mods I made to the file, which I’ve been limiting to SVG assignment.
