Thanks to @lander for encouraging me to look into display mode options. It is fun to explore.
I still don’t feel that I have this display mode quite right. Work in progress.

I remember back in the day when I first opened RhinoV4 to look at some projects I had been working on for years in other programs, and saw how beautiful they looked in Rhino – that’s when Rhino got my attention :sunglasses:

I did not realize all of the options that can go into display modes!
And the ViewCaptureToFile! I have had a blast with that. Each of these pics is set to 10000 passes. I mean Why not!
I honestly cannot wait to build this project.

Yeah, back in the day with Rhino5 you had to use a bunch of mods and different plugins to try getting special effects.

But V7 is crazy, it’s like all them plugins got merged natively into Rhino :smiley:

Try the -viewcapturetofile with that hyphen, to access more options – if you haven’t already :beers:

idk maybe hyphen not necessary anymore lol, that dialogue window must be new :sweat_smile:

maybe you’re already using that. Sounds like a rendering option. I don’t remember that in V5, I think it was more complicated. I did alot more viewcapture techniques like 10 yrs ago for patent drawing work…

The hyphen is Amazing. I love it much more than the window that pops up! It also gives me some more options that are helpful.

Nice! I was wondering :sweat_smile: I’m not used to seeing the new window :sweat_smile: – I’m still adapting from v5 to v7 even after yrs of using it lol, and they’re coming out with v8 soon seems like :joy:

Wait what V8 soon! Nice. We were just discussing a few days ago whether to invest in another V7 license or wait for V8. Thats news to me! I am looking forward to gh2 Coming out at the same time!

idk it just seems like a bunch of stuff is being halted until the next wip for v9 or something – I could be wrong though, seems like v6 took almost 10 yrs but v7 was done in much less time … haha

Well I will be patient. I would hate to spend almost a grand only to find out that if I had waited a month I would have saved a ton of money. lol
