The Custom Preview component has lost shadows in Rhino 8

I believe I have the same issue reported below and still no solution/fix:

Hi Fellas, I just updated to SRC 8.4.24009.13521 and I noticed that the Artistic and Monochrome display modes have some shadows showing through the 3D model like they have some transparency now (clearly seen at the bottom of the 3D model - second image). This seems like a bug as there´s just the shadows showing through, nothing else. Nothing changed software or hardware wise.
